The treatment services offered at Bodymind are uniquely tailored to the needs of the client. A number of therapeutic techniques and modalities are integrated in a session to enhance feelings of well-being and relaxation and provide relief from muscular tension and acute or chronic pain.
Swedish Massage: consists of long flowing strokes, as well as kneading, friction and compression to stimulate circulation, nourish the tissues and flush out metabolic waste products.
Deep Tissue Massage: deeper and more specific work addressing chronic patterns of pain and tension to improve range of motion and release tight and sore muscles.
Myofascial Release: Focuses primarily on gently releasing strain and restrictions in the fascia or connective tissue of the body caused by, amongst other things, trauma, structural imbalances or inflammation.
Muscle Energy Techniques: these engage the client in active movement against resistance to help release and stretch tight muscles and fascia, strengthen weak muscles and mobilize restricted joints.
Reiki: an ancient healing art that utilizes gentle touch to channel universal vital energy to promote healing and relaxation.
Bodymind also offers Oncology Massage. Research has shown that massage is effective in boosting the immune system and significantly alleviating some of the symptoms associated with cancer and cancer treatment. By adapting the massage to the client's needs and challenges and following guidelines to ensure comfort and safety, massage and touch therapy can be a beneficial part of the individual's healing process at all stages of treatment and recovery.
Enjoy a relaxing therapeutic massage in the comfort of your own home. I provide everything needed to create a peaceful atmosphere conducive to deep relaxation and well-being. The space needs to provide sufficient room for a massage table and chair and enough space to maneuver around the table with ease.
During the summer season I require off-street parking in locations where parking meters are in effect or permits are required.
